How many visits are required for veneers?
If you have good oral health, it typically takes two dental visits for veneers: a consultation (and try-on if necessary) and your final restoration appointment.
The first consultation appointment gives you the opportunity to discuss your goals for your smile. We'll take impressions and your "before" photographs as well as answer any questions you may have regarding what you can expect for your final results and during treatment. At Chatswood Dental Associates, we use ultra-thin (0.5 mm) veneers that typically don't require any preparation or alteration of your natural enamel. Once we complete this initial consultation, your dentist will plan your new smile and design it in such a way that you have comfort, function, and good aesthetics.
Your veneers will be crafted by a skilled and trusted dental lab. This process usually takes about two to three weeks.
At the second visit, we place your permanent veneers and make any final adjustments necessary. We will also discuss how to care for your veneers so that you get the most out of your treatment.
Each appointment takes approximately one hour.
Once your veneers are in place, be sure to practice excellent home care and visit our practice regularly for cleanings and check-ups so we can make sure your veneers are staying in great condition!
