Causes and problems
Worn teeth are unattractive and are commonly caused by:
- Tooth grinding habits;
- Exposure to acidic food and drinks;
- Bulimia and
- Excessive brushing.
When the teeth become worn the hard outer protective layer is eroded which can cause the teeth to become sensitive. In addition, worn teeth present both a cosmetic and structural problem, and can lead to damaged tooth nerves, and in severe cases, problems with the jaw joint.
