Question: My front tooth just chipped and cracked from a hairline fracture. My dentist currently put pins and bonded the tooth as I was not completely sold on a crown. I understand that most veneers will not go over a bonded tooth. Will yours?
Answer: Veneers can go over bonded teeth, but will not be strong. Depending on how large the broken area is, the veneer can often replace the bonded area, and achieve ideal strength. If the area is too extensive, a crown would be longer lasting.

Question: Hi, I have had invisalign and at night time i wear a plastic retainer to keep them straight, would it be as simple as having another retainer made? My teeth a fairly straight now i really just want a fuller smile. Also, I have a wisdom tooth coming throug
Answer: Yes it is; you can either have Invisalign make you a new retainer, or you can have the optional Protection Mouthguard made, which will not only keep the teeth in place, but also protect the veneers.
We have treated several patients who have finished orthodontics, so it isn't uncommon, but it would depends on what you feel your ideal smile is. This is why we discuss what you want before we start.
Ask a Question
How many visits are required for GlamSmile?
Only a smile consultation visit and two dental visits are required. The first is for a consultation, taking your "before" photographs, deciding what you want for your smile and to discuss and answer any questions you may have. For the first dental visit, any necessary reshaping is done, and impressions of your teeth. At the second visit, your GlamSmile veneers are placed. Each visit takes approximately 1 hour.
Ask a Question
After my first appointment, how long I get my new GlamSmile veneers?
Should I get my teeth cleaned before GlamSmile?
Healthy teeth and gums are the foundation to a successful GlamSmile. If you have not had a visit to your hygienist in the past six months, having one prior to your GlamSmile appointment will help achieve the best results. If you plan ahead, you may be able to schedule both your impressions and hygienist appointment in one visit.
Ask a Question
Do I need special toothpaste? Are there any flossing restrictions with GlamSmile veneers?
No, you brush and floss your GlamSmile veneers just as you would natural teeth. Proper dental hygiene is essential to maintaining your beautiful GlamSmile. As with natural teeth, low abrasion toothpaste is effective in removing plaque.
Ask a Question
Can I still eat my favourite foods such as apples with GlamSmile?
Yes! GlamSmile veneers look and feel just like natural teeth, and function like natural teeth. You can eat your favourite foods or anything else that would not damage natural teeth without fear of damaging your GlamSmile veneers.
Ask a Question
I hate the gap between my front teeth, can GlamSmile help me?
As long as the gap is not too wide, GlamSmile veneers can close the gap.
Ask a Question
I have tried whitening my teeth, but they are not white enough. Can GlamSmile veneers make them whiter?
GlamSmile veneers will mask stained and discoloured teeth. With GlamSmile veneers, there is an alternative whitening choice.
Ask a Question
My teeth are overlapping. Am I still a candidate for GlamSmile?
GlamSmile veneers can change the shape and alignment of your teeth making them look straighter. As everyone has different expectations, we can work with you, and discuss treatment options specific to your individual needs.
Ask a Question
I need braces but I hate the thought of the discomfort. Can I get GlamSmile veneers instead?
Orthodontics is the most conservative method of correcting mis-aligned teeth, but we appreciate that some find wearing braces uncomfortable. We would still suggest you seek an opinion from an Orthodontist. Where the mis-alignment is moderate, GlamSmile veneers make the teeth appear straighter and more uniform.
Ask a Question
I play sports, what happens if I chip a veneer?
With GlamSmile, all we do is remove the chipped veneer and take a new impression for the replacement GlamSmile veneer. Wearing a mouthguard is advisable, not only to protect your beautiful GlamSmile smile, but also to protect your own teeth.
Ask a Question
What are GlamSmile veneers made of, and how long will they last?
GlamSmile veneers are porcelain, individually made for each person; this is the same materials that have been used successfully to make veneers. With proper maintenance, many people are still enjoying their veneers after 10 years.
Ask a Question
If for some reason, I wanted to remove the GlamSmile veneers, is that possible?
Because GlamSmile veneers are very thin, and in most cases very little shaping of the teeth is done, removal of the GlamSmile veneer will just expose your own intact healthy teeth.
Ask a Question
I hear there are cheaper options available.
Yes there is; Snap On Smile has recently come onto the market. Snap On fits over your existing teeth and is made in one piece from a resin, much like a denture. It is a cheaper option, as the cost is under $2000, and has a 1 year warranty. It can be worn whilst eating, as you can take it out after meals to remove the food caught inside. It is not meant to be worn all the time.
At this time, Chatswood Dental Associates do not offer Snap On Smile as most of our patients come to us to get rid of their dentures, preferring to have their teeth inside their mouth, and not on their bedside. GlamSmile are bonded onto your teeth, so do not need to be taken out, and because they are made one per tooth, and not joined in one piece, you can clean them as easily as you can clean your normal teeth.

Question: for glam smile is there a price difference between getting 4 or 6 teeth done or is there no choice?
thanks
Answer: For GlamSmile, the minimum number of teeth done is 6. For 4 teeth, a traditional veneer system can be done, but likely at a higher cost as matching your existing teeth is crucial.
